Service areas
Fifteen communities, and they are not the same job
A coastal lot in Malibu and a valley floor lot in Simi Valley need different plants, different materials and a different construction sequence.
Brooks Landscape and Design works across Ventura County and the western edge of Los Angeles County, from the coast at Malibu to the inland valleys at Moorpark and Simi Valley. Within about twenty miles the climate, the soil and the fire exposure all change substantially, which is why we treat these as fifteen different briefs rather than one service area.
Where we build
- Agoura HillsConejo Valley hillsides, oak woodland, and a lot of properties backing onto open space.
- CalabasasHillside lots, gated communities, and design review that is stricter than most.
- CamarilloCoastal plain, marine air, and gardens that can grow things the inland valleys cannot.
- Hidden HillsLarge equestrian lots, private roads, and a community with its own standards.
- MalibuSalt air, wind, steep access and thin soils over rock. The hardest sites we work.
- MoorparkOur home city. The yard we can get to fastest.
- Oak ParkCompact lots, HOA design review, and mature oaks with protection rules.
- Santa Rosa ValleySemi-rural acreage, horses, wells and long driveways.
- Santa SusanaRocky ground at the pass, wind, and hard digging.
- Simi ValleyHot inland summers, clay soils, and properties on the wildland edge.
- Thousand OaksProtected oaks, sloped lots and Conejo Valley design review.
- Ventura CountyThe whole county, including the cities not listed separately.
- Pacific PalisadesBetween the mountains and the coast. Steep lots, long lead times, and a landscape that goes in last.
- TopangaCanyon building: narrow access, steep sides and one road in and out.
- Westlake VillageLakeside properties, HOA governance, and tight construction access.
